What is an infinity pool?
Infinity pools are pools that allow the water to flow over one or more of their edges, producing an optical illusion of water without a border. While they are commonly seen in five star hotels and fancy rooftop bars, a backyard infinity pool can be one of the most attention-grabbing additions that anyone can make to their property.

Energy efficiency of an infinity pool
How much energy does an infinity pool use? Between the need to constantly pump falling water back to the pool, and the difficulty of covering a pool without an edge (which makes it difficult to retain heat in the water), infinity pools often use quite a lot of power, which can significantly increase your power bill.

The compact size means there’s less water to heat, and between dense insulation and a thick cover, more of that heat is kept in. Note that generating a strong water current requires a strong electrical current, so you’ll need an electrician to wire up your swim spa.
